WHAT IS THE coLAB?

coLAB at StartUP Columbus is a workspace created to help startups in the Chattahoochee Valley Region.

It is the only workspace in Columbus that combines professional office space with direct access to entrepreneurial programming. Members have access to private offices, coworking space, conference rooms, and structured business support in one location.

General info

  • Founders or business owners in the Chattahoochee Valley Region who are actively building their company and seeking resources to move it forward.

  • All tenants accepted in the coLAB  must:

    • Obtain (or have) a business license within six months 

    • Provide analytics, metrics, and business plan with StartUP Columbus as requested

    • Be a for-profit business

    Once the application is submitted, the process is as follows:

    • StartUP Columbus will review the application 

    • A meeting will be scheduled to build rapport, discuss findings, and ask any questions

    • Application is submitted to the Director for approval 

    • After approval is communicated and accepted, the new tenant and Director establish short and long-term goals for business 

    • Client moves into Incubator

  • All leases are 1-year agreements.

    General Overview:

    Deposits: Deposits for each lease will be the same as the per month price at the time of signing your agreement. Deposits will be returned in the final month of tenancy.

    Flex Space | $50 / month

    • One Person with additional team members added at $20 / month

    • This tier is communal with plenty of seating options and retractable outlets.

    • 28 spaces total

    Dedicated Desk | $150 / month

    • Up to three people with additional team members added at $50 / month

    • This tier includes a lockable file cabinet.

    • 12 spaces total

    Private Office | $350 / month

    • Up to 5 people

    • This tier offers the most privacy with a closable/lockable door.

    • 9 offices total

  • We are housed at StartUP Columbus at 1190 Front Avenue - in the heart of Uptown Columbus.

  • • Applications and background checks are required for all tenants. 

    • Workspace location is upon availability, and preference is not given to tenure. Offices and team stations are prioritized by the number of employees in the startup and hours of space usage.

    • Maximum length of tenancy is three years.
